“Lintas Nusantara” 2014 at the Malay Heritage Centre

November 16, 2014

Singa Nglaras, together with musicians from Gamelan Asmaradana and BronzAge Gamelan, is honoured to be sharing the stage with the Guntur Mataram Dance Company (Indonesia) once again at the Dance Showcase Lintas Nusantara. This showcase will close a series of workshops conducted by the company and hosted by the Malay Heritage Centre.

This year, we’re performing on two nights, 21 and 22 of November (Friday and Saturday), and will showcase music and dances from around the Malay archipelago. Our ensemble will accompany Srimpi Pandelori, a Javanese palace dance which originates from the city of Yogyakarta.

Registration is required for this event, and can be done by contacting the Malay Heritage Centre. Ticket collection for registered audience begins at 8.00pm, before the doors open.

Photos of our performance at last year’s event can be seen [at this link]
